The Computer Restarts Unexpectedly - (Windows 7, 8,10)

IF Windows suddenly restarts without warning, or restarts when you try to shut it down, it might be caused by one of several issues. Windows could be set to restart automatically when certain system errors occur..

* BIOS update also can resolved the issue. ( Flash Update )

Use the information in this document to resolve issues with the computer restarting unexpectedly.

Windows restarts for no apparent reason

Follow the steps in this section, in order, until the problem is resolved.

Step 1: Disabling the automatic restart option to view error messages
Many hardware drivers or operating system errors will cause the computer to display a specific error message before stopping the operation or shutting down the computer. However, if the Automatically restart option is enabled, an error message might not be displayed despite an error taking place. Disable this option to allow the computer to display the error message.
Follow these steps to disable the Automatically restart option:

In Windows, search for and open View advanced system settings.
Click Settings in the Start-up and Recovery section.
Figure: System Properties window

Remove the check mark next to Automatically restart under System Failure, then click OK.

Figure: Automatically restart check box

4.Restart the computer.

NOTE:

The computer no longer restarts automatically when a problem occurs. Instead, a blue screen appears with more useful information. You can now search for a resolution using the information in the error.

Step 2: Checking for failed hardware

Hardware problems can cause the computer to restart unexpectedly. For more information about checking for hardware problems, see Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 7, 8,10) for desktop computers, or Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 7, 8,10) for notebook computers.

NOTE:

Failed hardware is usually caused by increased heat inside the computer. Over time, cooling areas can become clogged with dust build-up causing temperatures inside the case to rise. For more information, see Reducing Heat Inside the PC to Prevent Overheating for notebook computers, or Reducing Heat Inside the PC to Prevent Overheating for desktop computers.

Step 4: Performing a System Restore

If the issue has begun recently, restoring the computer to a point before the problem began can resolve the issue. For more information about using system restore, refer to Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7, 8,10).

Step 5: Recovering the computer

If the other steps in this document failed to resolve the issue, recover all software on the computer back to its original configuration using HP System Recovery. For more information, see HP Guided Solution - Performing an HP System Recovery

Windows restarts after a Windows Update

How to Install Windows 10

Note :
Before the avalanche of images, here’s a quick recap. Windows 10 can be upgraded to Windows 7 and 8.1. For qualified systems, this upgrade is free. We already know that clean installs can be done after the upgrade, and rumor has it that Microsoft would also be offering the OS on a DVD and USB flash drive. For this article, we used the latest preview build ISO, and installed the OS on an empty drive; if you’re doing an upgrade, you may or may not see some of these screens.

So, let’s begin.

Step 1: This is the first screen you will see if you install Windows 10 using a bootable USB flash drive or DVD. Here’s where you choose the OS’ language, time and currency format, and input method.

Step 2:  Like Windows 8.x, you can also choose to repair your computer.

If you choose the repair option, you will end up at a Troubleshoot screen where you can choose to reset your PC and re-install windows (you can either keep or remove your files), or access more advanced troubleshooting options.

For the latter, there are options for doing a system restore (if you have a restore point on your PC), image recovery, running commands in command prompt and letting Windows fix any startup problems.
You can also get to the advanced startup options after installation via the new Settings app in Windows 10.

your online order info, in the confirmation email for your purchaseor on the DVD packaging. That said, this is more of a clean install. If your device has been successfully upgraded to Windows 10, and you choose to wipe your device and do a clean install later, the device will reactivate without the need for a Windows 8.x product key.

( otherwise, you can skip it and if you don't have purchase key so you can activate later with more option I will tell you this later )

Step 4: Accept the license terms. After you read them, of course.

Step 5: Next, you’ll be presented with this screen, where you can choose to do either an upgrade (files, settings, and apps are moved to Windows) or a custom install (files, settings, and apps aren’t moved). The latter is the one to choose if you prefer a clean install, which was what we did.

(Note: If you're doing an upgrade, and you're running Windows Media Center, Windows 10 will remove it.)

Step 6: Here’s where you select the drive to install Windows 10 on. You can format a drive here as well.

Step 7: Now, you wait.

Step 8: Before you can start using Windows, there are some personalization, location, browser and protection, and connectivity and error reporting settings that you can adjust. You can zip through all these by using the Express settings, which basically turn everything on, or you can hit the small print that says ‘Customize settings’ to customize them. We went for the latter.

Oh, notice that little icon at the bottom left? Click on it to access an accessibility menu where you can turn on things like a narrator, magnifier, or increase the screen contrast.

with your contact, calendar, input, and location data. Read these carefully to decide if you want to turn the settings on or off.

Step 10: The next page deals with browser data, connectivity, and error reporting. Again, read these carefully and toggle the switches accordingly.

Step 11: Next, you need to specify who's the owner of the device. You can choose to sign in with your company ID, which will give you access to your company's resources.

you can sign in with Microsoft

your Microsoft account. If you use Microsoft services like Office, Outlook.com, OneDrive, Skype, or Xbox, it makes sense to sign in with your Microsoft account as it ties them all up and makes your Windows experience more personal.

If you use two-factor authentication, you’ll need to enter your code. If you don’t have a Microsoft account, you can create one right away. Alternatively, you can sign in with a local account. Unlike Windows 8.x, apps like Mail will not force you to switch to a Microsoft account and stop you from using the app if you don’t comply.

Step 13: Instead of signing in using your Microsoft account password, you’ve the option to create and use a short PIN instead.

In addition to easy typing, another benefit is that once created, this PIN only works on the device it’s created on.

Step 14: Windows 10 will save new documents and pictures to OneDrive. If you’re okay with that, just hit Next to continue. Else, you can click the small text that says ‘Save new files only to this PC by default’.

Step 15: You can also decide if you want to turn on the Cortana personal assistant feature. Some people may not want to use Cortana as this allows Microsoft to collect and use their location; contacts; voice input; info from email and messages; browser history; search history; calendar details; and more. If you were to ask us, Cortana is one of the best features in Windows 10. And for it to be truly useful, it has to be granted access to such data.

(Note: Cortana is only available in select markets. Currently, Cortana on Windows 10 is only available for the U.S., U.K., China, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain.)

At some point, you'll also be asked if you want to set the built-in apps to be the default apps for certain tasks. Simply untick the checkboxes for those that you don't want the installer to change.

Step 16: There's no step 16. Welcome to Windows 10!

How to Install Windows 7 (Beginners)

When installing on a physical computer insert your Windows 7 DVD media into your DVD drive and reboot your computer. If you’re asked to press a key to boot from DVD or CD, press any key. A black window will appear momentarily while the DVD content is read.

Note: If the Windows installation page doesn’t appear and you’re not asked to press a key

( you can install the same thing via pen drive and Network also but it has some different parameter I will tell you in further blogs)

Note: These screenshots are taken from a Windows 7 Ultimate installation performed on a virtual machine running on VMware Workstation. I will be using an.ISO file mounted on the VMs CD/DVD drive.
(another version of Windows 7 like Home, Enterprise, Professional... also have the same process)

Next, a Starting Windows screen will appear.

Note: If the Windows installation page doesn’t appear and you’re ot asked to press a key to start from DVD or CD, you might have to specify that your computer uses its DVD or CD drive as the start-up device.

Click “Next” unless you want to change some regional settings for the installation process

Click on the “Install now” button.

Next, accept the license terms and click on “Next”.

Next, unless you’re upgrading an existing Windows installation, press the Custom (Advanced) installation type button. Note that in this case, the Upgrade button is disabled because of this specific installation if performed on a new computer without any previous operating system on it.

The next phase is to pick the installation partition. Since this computer has a new hard disk that hasn’t been formatted before, you will only have the option to create a new partition on it.( we are considering New system Installation )

If you don’t want to specify a specific partition to install Windows on, or create partitions on your hard disk, click Next to begin the installation. If you already have another existing partition with enough free space and want to install the Windows 7 on that partition to create a multiboot configuration, select the partition you want to use, and then click Next to begin the installation. If you want to create, extend, delete, or format a partition, click Drive options (advanced), click the option you want, and then follow the instructions.

Since I don’t need to perform any additional task I will just click on the “Next” button. The installation process will then create a partition on all the available disk space, and format it.

The setup process will now begin to copy files from the installation DVD media to the hard disk.

The computer will reboot, and the next thing you’ll see is the prompt to set the user’s and computer’s name. By default, the computer’s name will be username-PC, where username is the username you’ve entered.

Click on “Next”.

Enter the user’s password. Remember this password, as it will be the ONLY user on the system, and unless you create an additional user or enable the built-in administrator account, if you forget this password you’ll need to crack it to gain access to the system. The best option would be to choose a complex password made of at least 7 characters or more (something like Pssw0rd or MYp@$$w0rd). You must also enter a password hint.

Click on “Next”

Next, type in your product key. If you do not have the product key at hand you can still click “Next”, and proceed with the installation. You will be asked to enter the product key after Windows is installed.
( if your Home user or you don't want to buy key so you can go for Windows Loader Option also )

Next, type in your product key. If you do not have the product key at hand you can still click “Next”, and proceed with the installation. You will be asked to enter the product key after Windows is installed.

Choose what sort of protection your computer gets. The ecommended settings are best for someone that doesn’t plan to hide their computer behind a corporate firewall (and even then, in some cases, this would be the best option). If you plan to install a 3rd-party firewall later you can opt to be prompted later. Note that this setting will also have an effect on how the computer uses the Microsoft Windows Update (Automatic Updates) features

Choose your time zone and location and click on “Next”.

Select your network location type. This setting can be changed later but do note that choosing a profile will have an effect on the Windows Firewall and sharing settings.

Click on “Next”.

Windows will finalize the settings and your desktop will appear.
